It’s not like Kanye West needed an ego boost, but here it comes: Sales figures appear to confirm his “Graduation” album outsold 50 Cent’s “Curtis” in the much-hyped rap sales showdown. Both albums appeared to have sold well over 500,000 copies since being released Sept. 11. I wonder if either Kanye or Fiddy would have sold as many records without Fiddy creating all this hype. Personally, I think for two albums to sell this many records in the same week is a win-win all around. And I refuse to fall for the propaganda that Fiddy is a “loser.” He may have boasted a little too much, but which one of these artists hasn’t.
