So far, all of my initial American Idol picks — Scott Savol, Constantine Maroulis and Mario Vazquez have made it. I must admit that I haven’t been impressed with Constantine lately. His performances in Hollywood have been lackluster and I wonder what happened to his voice. I still love Scott and I would buy a CD by him if I could. There’s just something about his voice that I love. Perhaps of all the contestants, Mario has real American Idol potential. He just needs to kick it up a notch because I think that Bo Bice has come on strong and is such a good performer that he is now a real contender for the title. Also, Anthony Fedorov has grown on me. He has a great voice. I’m sorry but I don’t care for Anwar Robinson, the school teacher that much. On the other hand, I still have taken to any of the ladies as far as picking a favorite. However, I do think that Carrie Underwood has the best voice of all the ladies but Jessica Sierra is the best performer. Nadia Turner could contend for the American Idol title if she can pull it all together. Mikalah Gordon was handed a gift in making it to the top 12 — maybe fans are hoping she will find her vivacious spirit again. Vonzell Solomon and Lindsey Cardinale are two contestants that have talent but something seems to be missing. I am excited to see how the contestants will perform in the upcoming weeks as the format changes.
