It is Francis Ford Coppola’s first movie in a decade, and the Oscar-winning director said Saturday that audiences should be in no hurry before deciding if “Youth Without Youth” is good or bad.

“Youth Without Youth” is Coppola’s first movie since “The Rainmaker” in 1997. It was having its public premiere Saturday evening at the Rome Film Festival.

At an earlier screening for the press, reactions were mixed, and Coppola asked people to see it more than once.

Hmmm, “see it more than once???” That’s pretty ballsy.

Roger Moore now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of an address that includes the spy’s signature 007.

Moore, 79, received his permanent spot on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday, accompanied by friends and family.

The British actor made seven Bond films, starting with “Live and Let Die” in 1973 and ending 12 years later with “A View to a Kill.” He paid homage to the number of women he kissed on-screen while adapting Ian Fleming’s leading man.

“Sadly, I had to retire from the Bond films,” Moore said. “The girls were getting younger or I was just getting too old.”

Anyway, it looks likes producers have found their Uhura made famous by Nichelle Nichols and her famously short skirt. Zoe Saldana has been cast and joins a lineup that already includes Anton Yelchin as Russian navigator Pavel Chekov, played by Walter Koenig in the original TV series, and Zachary Quinto as young Mr. Spock. Coincidently old Spock, Leonard Nimoy is set to star in this flick.

Hmmm, I wonder who will play Kirk???

In this flick, Indy (Harrison Ford) is a daddy to Shia LaBeouf. The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen (the mother??), Ray Winstone and John Hurt.

It will be released in the U.S. and simultaneously in most territories worldwide on Thursday, May 22,
2008.

Life is such a b$tch sometimes, but it is also precious and wonderful. It is definitely not easy for any of us, including Hollywood actors, who seem to have it all.

Michelle “Where the heck have you been?” Pfeiffer is the latest star to leave her mark on Hollywood’s star-(and anyone else who can buy they way on aka Ryan Seacrest) studded “Walk of Fame.”

The 49-year-old actress, who found fame with notable roles in “The Fabulous Baker Boys” and “Scarface,” was present at a ceremony to mark the unveiling of the 2,345th star on Hollywood Boulevard.

“There are so many people that go into the making of an actor’s career, and first and foremost I want to thank my mother, who isn’t here right now,” Pfeiffer said.

She also looked surprisingly stunning at the ceremony.

After several years without a film role to her credit, Pfeiffer is back starring in two movies this year - “Stardust” and “Hairspray.” I don’t plan on seeing either movie at the theater. I will wait for DVD. Now don’t get me wrong, I do like Pfeiffer but I am not really feeling her latest projects. I am definitely getting old as my favorite flicks starring Pfeiffer are all more than a decade old. Here’s my list:

Apparently this is not a joke as Hilton will co-star with Paul Sorvino and Alexa Vega in “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” which begins shooting in September in Canada.

The horror rock opera, based on a stage musical, is set in a plague-ravaged future where people can purchase new organs on the installment plan from a corporation called Geneco. The catch is that if the payments stop, the organs are repossessed.

Hilton will portray the fame-seeking daughter of Geneco’s owner (Sorvino).

“We saw many actresses for the role, and Paris sang it better than all of them,” producer Carl Mazzocone told the Hollywood trade paper Daily Variety in Monday editions.

The director, Darren Lynn Bousman, also praised Hilton.

“I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role — Paris came in and owned it,” he told Variety. “She is this role.”

Um… It’s possible. Playing a “fame-seeking daughter” shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Hilton.

And serving as young Spock’s older and wiser incarnation will be none other than Leonard Nimoy, who was on hand when the good news was announced during Paramount Pictures’ panel at Comic-Con, aka fanboy heaven, in San Diego.

“People have been asking me why I’m doing this movie, and I think the answer is obvious—we have a great director, a wonderful script, and a wonderful young actor playing Spock, so…it was logical,” said the 76-year-old Nimoy.

The last Star Trek movie was pretty disappointing. Here’s hoping some new ideas will help revive the series. I guess we’ll find out Christmas 2008.

Also, I wonder if William Shatner is on board with this flick…

The two Netflix plans being reduced today by $1 provide unlimited DVD rentals and the ability to watch movies and TV series instantly on a PC for no additional charge. The $9.99 monthly plan is reduced to $8.99 and provides unlimited DVD rentals with one DVD out at a time and the ability to watch nine hours of movies and TV series instantly on a PC. The $17.99 monthly plan is reduced to $16.99 and provides unlimited DVD rentals with three DVDs out at a time and the ability to watch 17 hours of movies and TV series instantly on a PC.

The $4.99 and $13.99 monthly plans remain unchanged as their prices were already reduced from $5.99 in February and $14.99 in June, respectively. The company said that positive subscriber reaction to lowering the $14.99 plan to $13.99 for unlimited DVD rental with two discs out at a time was an important factor in today’s price reductions.

Filmmaker Geoffrey James created BORG WAR by reprogramming computer games to generate raw footage, which he then edited to create the finished film. Online clips from BORG WAR have received over a million Internet downloads and were nominated for two awards by the Academy for Machinima Arts and Sciences (AMAS). The theatrical debut will feature the final edition of the film, with never-before-seen scenes and special effects.
