Is Ashlee Simpson’s Career Over??

Ashlee Simpson’s Orange Bowl halftime performance was a lemon, according to the 72,000-plus Miami crowd. The 20-year-old singer received a discernible chorus of boos following a performance of her song “La La.”

“You make me wanna scream,” she sang before the audience jeered…..

The negative vocal reaction came months after Simpson’s performance on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” which revealed she used background vocal tracks. The mishap was later attributed to acid reflux…..

The second season of Simpson’s unscripted MTV reality show, “The Ashlee Simpson Show,” premieres Jan. 26 and will capture the “SNL” appearance and preparation for her first nationwide tour, which begins Feb. 18 at Los Angeles’ Universal Amphitheatre. Source

    I don’t think Ashlee has any talent to begin with. I think just because her sister is Jessica,she wants to be famous. I know alot of young people and adults who don’t think she can carry a tune!

    She is cooked. Pack up the studio. The tour is cancelled. Thats not true but it should be. She made an ass out of herself. They played clips of her performance all day today on our local radio station and they were bashing her so bad. She deserved it though. Drop by my site sometime.

    I agree - Ashlee SImpson has never had talent in my book. She got a record deal because Daddy got Jessica to smile and flash her boobs on her little sis’s behalf. I hope Ashlee is worshipping the ground that Jessica walks on, because without her, Ash would NOT be partying so hard with music royalty. Go home, little girl.

    Honestly, I think you all are too critical. Maybe Ashlee Simpson isn’t up to the same calibur as hard core musicians, but I don’t think she wants to be either. I don’t listen to Ashlee Simpson, I’m not a fan of Ashlee Simpson, but I think that since she’s a fellow human being you all need to look at it like, “Oh, she made a mistake, but so do all of us” It’s honestly not a big deal. I’ve had bad cello days. She had a bad vocal day. Besides, in this stage of her career, people are hunting for ways to knock her down. You all are contributing to stuff that shouldn’t even matter. I mean good god, why are we all so critical of other people? It’s not like we’ve never made mistakes. Or made asses of ourselves. It happens. The fact that she’s a celebrity brings it up to a level that none of us could possibly comprehend. And seriously, can you ingenuously state that you could handle the pressure she’s under as a celebrity? Think about that, because I’m sure none of you have bothered to do so before writing these “insightful” comments”

    I have no sympathy for her. The music industry is going to hell in a handbasket thanxs to record companys force feeding us these half-baked ,useless wannabes. The slick,sugar coated pop of yesteryear has left us with what is easily the most mudane,souless,empty music of today ,and to add insult to injury ashlee is going to try and fake her way through shows , mtv and ashlee’s spin control team are going to re-edit her staged show to help
    mask her recent “mistakes” ? no thanks !
    music is much to important to me to be sucked into all the hype that is the only foundation to a fluff and fold “career”. on the bright side a few years down the road ,ashlee will be even more washed up then she is now , her pimpslug daddy will be pushed aside by industry insiders for someone else , and the few million teenieboppers who played along with it all will have moved on to other music ( hopefully music with more
    substance than style !) and will be mostly embarressed to admit they ever gave the likes of her the time of day.

    ashlee does make me wanna scream scream for me damn life she cant sing she needs to go back to dancing as a backup dancer for her sister opps my bad she cant dance either
