Merv Griffin, host of the 20-years running talk show “The Merv Griffin Show” who later catapulted his “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” game shows into a multimillion-dollar empire, died Sunday, August 12th. He was 82. Griffin died of prostate cancer.
