I’ve been a little lukewarm about the upcoming new Star Trek movie, which seeks to go back and explore the youth of the original StarShip Enterprise crew. In a former life, I was a bit of a trekkie, but after the last film sucked the life out of the franchise, I stirred clear of any other Star Trek projects including the most recent TV show.

Anyway, it looks likes producers have found their Uhura made famous by Nichelle Nichols and her famously short skirt. Zoe Saldana has been cast and joins a lineup that already includes Anton Yelchin as Russian navigator Pavel Chekov, played by Walter Koenig in the original TV series, and Zachary Quinto as young Mr. Spock. Coincidently old Spock, Leonard Nimoy is set to star in this flick.

Hmmm, I wonder who will play Kirk???
